LG minister issues instructions for Eid-ul-Azha cleanliness operations

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafique has issued necessary instructions for Eid-ul-Azha sanitation operations during a meeting held at the Suthra Punjab Authority Office.

Managing Directors of Suthra Punjab Agencies from all districts attended the meeting through video link.

The minister directed all district Suthra Punjab Agencies to set up additional temporary collection points

(TCPs) warning that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif will personally supervise the Eid sanitation

operations this time too, so there is no room for any laziness.

He said that a special control room will be set up in the Suthra Punjab Authority at the provincial level.

"A monitoring room should also be set up in the all Deputy Commissioner’s Offices in every district too, he directed.

The minister said that the Suthra Punjab program has now passed the experimental stage. "With a mature team, we will now have to deliver better results than before. We have to meet the expectations of the people and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in every way", he urged. "Immediate action, he went on, should be taken on the complaints of the citizens during the Eid holidays".

Zeeshan Rafique said that the staff of municipal bodies will also cooperate with the Suthra Punjab Agencies during the Eid cleaning operations. He stressed that special measures should also be taken for the cleaning of cattle markets. "Awareness camps will be set up in every city where the staff will guide the citizens", he added.
