Lanjar for comprehensive security plan for Eidul Fitr

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Mar, 2026) Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar on Sunday directed for a comprehensive and effective security plan on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.

He said that the Eid al-Fitr security plan should be coordinated at the police range level.

The Sindh Home Minister said that security measures should be ensured through full coordination with law enforcement agencies and intelligence agencies.

He said that foolproof security arrangements should be made at central mosques, imambargahs, Eidgahs and Eid prayer gathering sites.

Extraordinary security should be ensured at shopping centers, Eid discount markets, railway stations and bus terminals, he said adding that special instructions have been issued to SPs, SDPOs and SHOs to increase mobile and motorcycle patrols.

Monitoring of open spaces including car and motorcycle parking areas should also be made part of the security plan.

He also directed for strict measures to stop objectionable wall chalking, posters and the distribution of provocative literature.

District SSPs should ensure law and order with the cooperation of local notables and political and religious leaders.

He also ordered to take strict legal action against elements spreading hateful or offensive content and central control rooms should be established for effective monitoring of security during the three days of Eidul Fitr.
