PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jun, 2026) The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has approved a Rs350 million infrastructure project for the construction of Jabbar Bridge and rehabilitation of the Old Khandar Road in Kohat’s PK-90 constituency under the Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2026–27.
The project was approved following efforts by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Aftab Alam, with support from Member National Assembly Shehryar Afridi and former Gumbat Tehsil Chairman Sajid Iqbal.
Located on the Kohat–Nizampur Road, Jabbar Bridge had remained non-functional for an extended period, creating transport difficulties for residents. The approved scheme includes reconstruction of the bridge and rehabilitation of the adjoining road network to improve safety, connectivity and reduce travel time.
The project is expected to benefit thousands of daily commuters, including students, government employees, farmers and traders, while strengthening economic and commercial activity in surrounding rural areas.
The provincial government said development initiatives in PK-90 would continue to improve public services and regional infrastructure.
