Kohat officials vow timely completion of development projects, market inspections held

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) A high-level meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Kohat, attended by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law Aftab Alam, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz, and senior officials from various government departments, the meeting reviewed ongoing development schemes, welfare initiatives, and departmental performance. Officials were directed to ensure timely and quality completion of projects to maximize public benefit.

Emphasis was placed on inter-departmental coordination to resolve public issues efficiently.

Participants agreed to accelerate the pace of development works, uphold transparency, and prioritize the completion of pending projects in the larger public interest.

Meanwhile, under the directives of DC Muhammad Nawaz, Add. AC Darra Muhammad Arif inspected Darra Bazaar. During the visit, tandoors, sweet shops, meat sellers, fruit and vegetable outlets, and bakeries were checked.

Violations of official price lists, hygiene standards, and weight regulations led to warnings issued to several shopkeepers. Traders were instructed to prominently display government price lists, maintain cleanliness, and strictly comply with official rates to ensure consumer protection.
