KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz, the district administration on Saturday conducted a series of market inspections across College Town, Togh Bazaar, and Pindi Road to ensure price control and food safety compliance.

During the operation, Additional Assistant Commissioner Gambat Syed Mukhtiar Shah checked a wide range of establishments, including vegetable and fruit stalls, kebab shops, bakeries, tandoors, meat outlets, hotels, and other commercial units. Officials reviewed official price lists, hygiene conditions, and the overall quality of food items being sold.

Shopkeepers were strictly directed to display government-notified price lists prominently, maintain proper sanitation, and ensure the provision of quality food to consumers. Authorities issued warnings to violators, while on-the-spot legal action was taken against some traders found breaching regulations.

The district administration reaffirmed that any negligence regarding price control, cleanliness, or food standards would not be tolerated, stressing that regular monitoring will continue to protect consumer rights.
