Kohat administration cracks down on price violations, inspects markets and fuel stations

Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz, Additional Assistant Commissioner-III Syed Mukhtiar Shah on Wednesday conducted inspections in Gambat Bazaar and nearby fuel stations to review public service arrangements and ensure compliance with official regulations

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz, Additional Assistant Commissioner-III Syed Mukhtiar Shah on Wednesday conducted inspections in Gambat Bazaar and nearby fuel stations to review public service arrangements and ensure compliance with official regulations.

During the visit to Gambat Bazaar, the official inspected vegetable and fruit stalls, poultry shops, hotels, and bakeries. Several shopkeepers were fined for poor sanitation and violations of the government-issued price list, while one bakery unit was sealed due to substandard hygienic conditions. The assistant commissioner directed vendors to strictly follow official price lists and ensure the supply of quality food items to the public.

Later, Syed Mukhtiar Shah inspected a number of petrol pumps in Tehsil Gambat, including those located along Pindi Road. He confirmed that petrol and diesel supplies remained normal and that there was no shortage of fuel in the area.

The district administration warned petrol pump owners against creating any artificial shortage of fuel, stressing that strict legal action would be taken against violators. Officials reiterated their commitment to protecting public interests by ensuring the availability of essential commodities at official rates and maintaining uninterrupted fuel supply in the district.
