King Salman Relief completes fifth phase of food security support project

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has successfully completed the fifth and final phase of its Pakistan Food Security Support Project 2025–26 that was aimed to combat food insecurity and support vulnerable communities across the country

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2026) King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has successfully completed the fifth and final phase of its Pakistan Food Security Support Project 2025–26 that was aimed to combat food insecurity and support vulnerable communities across the country.

Under this final phase, approximately 195,487 beneficiaries were assisted across 31 districts nationwide. The large scale humanitarian initiative covered 10 districts in Punjab, 5 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 7 in Baluchistan, 6 in Sindh and 3 districts in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, said a release issued here Friday.

The project aimed to ensure timely delivery of essential food supplies to families facing food insecurity and economic hardship. During the final stage, thousands of deserving families received food packages weighing 97 kilograms each.

The distribution process was carried out transparently, efficiently and systematically through the collaborative efforts of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Provincial Disaster Management Authorities (PDMAs), district administrations and partner organizations including Hayat Foundation and Peace and Development Organization.
