Kidnapped man killed by friend

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) The body of a man, who was kidnapped two days ago, was recovered from the Melsi Link Canal within the limits of Haveli Koranga Police Station.

The deceased, Ghulam Shabir, was allegedly kidnapped and murdered by his friend and business partner Akhtar over a financial dispute.

Police said the victim owed Rs 30 million to the suspect, which led to prolonged tension between the two.

Police arrested the suspect, who confessed to the crime during the initial investigation.

The body was recovered and handed over to the family after being shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kabirwala for postmortem.
