Khawaja Saad pays tribute to late Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa

Dera GHAZI KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Apr, 2026) Senior leader Khawaja Saad Rafique and former Federal Minister has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of veteran politician Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, stating that the vacuum created by his death will take a long time to fill.

Speaking to journalists during his visit to Khosa House in Dera Ghazi Khan, where he offered condolences to the bereaved family, Rafique described the late Khosa as a multidimensional personality and a committed democrat. He said that Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa remained a strong supporter of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) during difficult times and played an important role in strengthening the party.

He further said that the late leader was a firm believer in democratic values and was among the few prominent personalities from the Dera Ghazi Khan division who supported Fatima Jinnah, widely known as Madar-e-Millat.

Rafique noted that Sardar Khosa always practiced principled politics and remained consistent in his ideology. He added that during challenging periods for PML-N, both Khosa and Javed Hashmi stood firmly with the party.

Recalling his long association with the late leader, Rafique said their relationship spanned decades. “When he served as the provincial president of the party, I was the general secretary. He always guided us and prevented us from making political mistakes. We learned a great deal from his wisdom,” he said.

He prayed for the elevation of the deceased’s ranks and for patience and strength for the bereaved family.

Earlier, upon his arrival at Khosa House, Khawaja Saad Rafique was received by Sardar Dost Muhammad Khan Khosa, Sardar Saifuddin Khosa, and Sardar Hissamuddin Khosa.
