ITP issues  diversion plan for for foreign delegations’ movement

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jul, 2026) Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a two-day traffic diversion plan from 8:00 a.m. on July 12 until 12:00 midnight on July 13 to facilitate the movement of foreign delegations in the Federal capital.

An ITP official told APP on Sunday that motorists traveling from Suhrawardy Chowk towards Serena Chowk would be diverted, while Embassy Road should be used as the alternate route.

Traffic from Constitution Avenue (France Turn) towards Serena Chowk will also be diverted, with one-way traffic to remain operational during the period.

The official said traffic from Aabpara via Srinagar Highway towards Serena Chowk would be diverted, and commuters were advised to use 7th Avenue via Srinagar Highway as an alternate route.

Similarly, traffic from Kashmir Chowk towards Serena Chowk will be diverted, with motorists advised to use Srinagar Highway and 7th Avenue.

The official urged citizens to plan their journeys with extra travel time during the diversion period and cooperate with traffic police to ensure smooth traffic flow.

He added that further traffic updates and guidance would be available through the Islamabad Traffic Police WhatsApp channel and ITP FM 92.4.
