ITP announces traffic diversion on Srinagar Highway for foreign delegation

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jul, 2026) Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) announced a traffic diversion plan on Srinagar Highway from Toll Plaza No. 26 to Serena Chowk to facilitate the smooth movement of a foreign delegation, advising commuters to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time.

An ITP official told APP on Tuesday that motorists travelling through the diverted section would be guided by traffic personnel deployed along the route.

He advised commuters to use IJP Road, Iran Avenue, Margalla Road or the city's service roads as alternate routes during the diversion.

The official urged citizens to leave for their destinations 15 to 20 minutes earlier than usual to avoid inconvenience.

He said Islamabad Traffic Police personnel would remain deployed on the roads to facilitate commuters and ensure smooth traffic flow.

The official also urged citizens to follow the official social media platforms of Islamabad Police for the latest traffic updates and travel advisories.
