ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) Authorities in the Federal capital on Wednesday reviewed security and law-and-order arrangements ahead of Ramazan, with officials stressing enhanced surveillance, increased policing and inter-agency coordination to maintain public safety.

Officials were briefed on security measures planned for mosques, imambargahs, Ramazan bazaars, markets and commercial centres.
Police said Safe City surveillance cameras and modern monitoring systems were being utilised to oversee key locations, while patrols across the capital would be increased during the holy month.
Randhawa emphasised the need for effective coordination among all relevant departments to strengthen security arrangements.
He directed authorities to ensure strict monitoring of entry and exit points at public places, including parks and markets, and called for expanded installation of CCTV cameras where required.
He reiterated that ensuring a peaceful and secure environment for residents during Ramazan — and beyond — remained a priority for the capital administration.
