Interviews for STIs in special education held in Lodhran

LODHRAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) The district administration on Wednesday conducted interviews for recruitment of school Teaching Interns (STIs) in special education institutions.

The interviews were held at the Deputy Commissioner's office under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf, who personally assessed the candidates.

A panel comprising Divisional officer Special Education Zeeshan Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer (Education) Israr-ul-Haq, Hidayat Fatima, Uzra Aziz, and Shafqat Toor assisted in the selection process.

As many as 54 applications were received against 10 vacant posts for STIs in the district’s special education institutions.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Muhammad Ashraf stated that the recruitment process was being carried out strictly on merit in accordance with the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He emphasized that merit-based selection was essential for national development.

Preference was being given to candidates who demonstrate both merit and experience.

The DC further stated that the induction of capable and qualified teachers through a transparent process would significantly enhance the performance of special education institutions.

He added that appointment letters would be issued to candidates who successfully meet the prescribed merit criteria.
