Paying tribute to journalists who lost their lives in the pursuit of truth, she said their sacrifices serve as a reminder that press freedom is not only a right but also a profound responsibility.

Wajih Qamar urged media professionals to prioritize ethical standards, thorough research and responsibility to ensure the dissemination of accurate and credible information.

She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding press freedom and continuing efforts to provide an enabling environment for its constructive growth.
