WASA directed to expedite completion of underground storage tank project before monsoon

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) Managing Director Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Saqib Raza directed the officers to accelerate work on the under-construction underground water storage tank at Crescent school Ground and ensure its completion before the onset of monsoon to facilitate swift drainage of rainwater.

The MD visited the project site on Sunday and reviewed the pace of construction.

He also inspected the quality of materials being used in the development of the underground storage tank and associated drainage lines.

Speaking on the occasion, Saqib Raza emphasized that the project must be completed within the stipulated timeline particularly ahead of the rainy season so that maximum benefits could be achieved in terms of efficient disposal of rainwater and prevention of urban flooding.
