IGP orders arrest of suspect in Ichhra triple murder case

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem on Thursday took notice of the killing of three children in the Ichhra area and sought a report from the capital city police officer (CCPO) Lahore.

The IGP Punjab directed the DIG Operations Lahore to ensure the immediate arrest of the suspect involved in the incident and ordered that all available resources be utilised to apprehend the accused at the earliest.

According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, senior police officers and forensic teams reached the scene promptly and collected evidence from the crime site.

Meanwhile, DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Faisal Kamran said that special teams had been constituted for the arrest of the suspect and expressed confidence that the accused would be apprehended soon.
