ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jun, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have arrested a woman's father, former husband and father-in-law for allegedly murdering her and attempting to disguise the crime as an accidental electrocution before carrying out her burial.
An official told APP on Monday that Bani Gala Police traced the blind murder case through a combination of Safe City surveillance footage, human intelligence and modern investigative techniques.
The official said the suspects initially portrayed the woman's death as an incident caused by electric shock and proceeded with her immediate burial in an apparent attempt to conceal the crime.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, investigators launched a thorough inquiry after receiving information about suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

The DIG said the victim's father, former husband and father-in-law were subsequently arrested for their alleged involvement in the crime.
The official said further investigation was underway to determine the motive behind the murder and collect additional evidence against the accused.
DIG Tariq said Islamabad Police remained committed to ensuring justice for victims and would continue utilizing modern technology and professional investigative methods to solve serious crimes.
