ICT Police detain 38 suspects in fresh combing operations across capital

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted large-scale joint grand combing operations across multiple areas of the Federal capital, detaining 38 suspicious individuals and shifting 21 motorcycles for further verification.

A public relations officer told APP on Thursday that the operations were carried out in the jurisdictions of Ramna, Khanna, Secretariat, Golra, Sabzi Mandi, Shahzad Town and Lohi Bher police stations under the supervision of zonal SPs.

He said lady police officials also participated in the operations to ensure effective checking.

During the operations, a total of 509 individuals and 303 households were checked.

The official said 47 hotels and 80 shops were also inspected during the search.

He said 203 motorcycles and 82 vehicles were examined during the drive.

The official said the suspects and motorcycles were shifted to relevant police stations for further verification.

He said special checking points had been established at entry and exit routes of the city to ensure effective monitoring.

All patrolling units and special squads were actively performing duties across the city, he added.

Senior officers remained present in the field, reviewing security arrangements and ensuring implementation of measures.
