ICT Police arrest dacoit gang, recover valuables

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police on Thursday arrested a four members dacoit gang involved in multiple crimes during an operation in the Federal capital.

A public relations officer told APP that Tarnol police conducted a successful raid and apprehended the accused.

He said police also recovered cash, mobile phones and other valuable items from their possession.

The official said cases had been registered against the arrested accused and further investigation was underway.

Following the special directives of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, Islamabad Police has intensified its crackdown against criminals involved in robberies, street crimes and other heinous offences.

He said the ongoing operations had led to a noticeable decline in crime across the capital. The DIG directed all officers to continue operations against out laws and take strict action against them.
