ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) On the first day of Eid-ul-Azha, the Islamabad district administration said it received 260 public calls through helpline 1334 while sanitation teams continued cleanup operations across all 8 circles of the Federal capital.

Officials said action was taken on 250 complaints immediately, while work on 10 remaining complaints was underway.

The district administration said all officers remained present in the field throughout the day to monitor sacrifice activities and sanitation arrangements.

In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad supervised the operation personally as teams carried out waste collection and disposal in different sectors of the city.

According to the administration, monitoring was being carried out through the Eid-ul-Azha Tracker system, which allowed officials to review every public complaint in real time. Authorities said citizens contacted the control room mainly regarding the removal of animal waste and sanitation services after sacrifices.

The district administration stated that cleanliness operations were being implemented strictly in all eight circles of Islamabad. Sanitation workers continued door-to-door collection of animal waste while vehicles transported waste material to designated dumping sites.

Officials said strict action was also being taken against people throwing animal remains in open areas and streets instead of following official disposal procedures.

The administration added that teams were monitoring the movement of waste from homes to disposal pits and dumping locations through a real-time tracking system.

Meanwhile, Assistant commissioners visited dumping points and collective sacrifice locations during the day to inspect arrangements and ensure timely waste disposal. Officials checked the availability of staff, machinery, and transport vehicles deployed for the Eid operation.

The administration further said that union council-level control rooms remained fully active to respond to public complaints and coordinate with sanitation teams. Staff members at the control rooms stayed in contact with field officers for quick handling of complaints received from different sectors of the city.

Citizens were asked to contact helpline 1334 for complaints related to animal waste collection and sanitation services during Eid-ul-Azha. The administration said teams would continue operations round the clock to maintain cleanliness in residential areas and public places.

Officials added that the operation would remain active during all three days of Eid to ensure proper disposal of waste generated during sacrificial activities.
