ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th May, 2026) On the first day of Eid-ul-Azha, the Islamabad district administration continued its citywide sanitation campaign with Deputy Commissioner Irfan Memon conducting another surprise visit to review the ongoing cleanup operation.
Officials said the administration’s strategy for waste collection and disposal was being implemented successfully across the capital, while residents were asked to report complaints through helpline 1334.
During the visit, the deputy commissioner inspected different areas of Islamabad to monitor sanitation arrangements and review the performance of field teams. He also met citizens during the inspection and received direct feedback regarding the cleanliness operation and response of sanitation workers.
The deputy commissioner separately received briefings from assistant commissioners deployed in different zones of the city. Officials informed him about waste collection activities, transportation arrangements, and disposal measures being carried out after Eid sacrifices.
Irfan Memon also visited collective sacrifice points and inspected trenches established for the disposal of animal waste.
He reviewed the movement of sanitation vehicles and checked arrangements made for lifting and transporting waste material from residential areas and public locations.
According to the district administration, teams were carrying out door-to-door collection of animal remains as part of the Eid sanitation plan.

The deputy commissioner said the operation linked to the disposal of animal waste was continuing successfully across the city. He appealed to residents to immediately report any unattended waste or sanitation issue by contacting helpline 1334 so field teams could respond without delay.
During the inspection, the deputy commissioner also directed officials to take strict action against individuals throwing animal remains in streets, empty plots, or public places. He instructed field officers to ensure proper disposal through designated collection points and dumping sites.
Officials were also directed to act against anyone creating hurdles in the sanitation operation. The district administration said monitoring would continue throughout Eid-ul-Azha to maintain cleanliness and improve coordination between control rooms and field staff.
The administration added that sanitation teams, assistant commissioners, and monitoring staff would remain active during the Eid holidays to complete waste disposal operations and address complaints received from citizens across Islamabad.
