Grand Marqa-e-Haq flag march held in Sialkot

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2026) A grand Marqa-e-Haq (Bunyan-un-Marsoos) flag march was organised in Sialkot to mark the completion of one year of the successful operation.

The march was led by Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resource Muhammad Mansha-Ullah Butt and Station Commander Brigadier Waqar Khan. Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Gulnaz Pasha, Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) Chaudhry Faisal Ikram and Shakeela Arthur, Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Saba Asghar Ali, and District Police Officer (DPO) Dost Muhammad were also present.

Vehicles of Punjab Police and paramilitary forces actively participated in the flag march. Decorated with national flags, the convoy started from Kutchehry Chowk and passed through Khawaja Safdar Road, Railway Road, Allama Iqbal Chowk, and Paris Road before concluding back at the Kutchehry Chowk.

During the march, patriotic songs were played while participants raised enthusiastic slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pak Army Zindabad.” Citizens standing along the roads warmly welcomed the participants in the flag march.

At the conclusion of the march, a cake-cutting ceremony was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office to commemorate one year of Marqa-e-Haq.

Addressing the ceremony, Provincial Minister Mansha-Ullah Butt said that under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s armed forces defended the country in an exemplary manner, and the success in Marqa-e-Haq enhanced Pakistan’s honour and prestige across the world. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan is playing a significant role in promoting global peace.

Station Commander Brigadier Waqar Khan said that by the grace of Almighty Allah and with the support of the Pakistani nation, the armed forces defeated an enemy five times larger. He added that the message of the day is that the entire nation, through unity and solidarity, can overcome every challenge.

At the end of the ceremony, participants raised slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pak Army Zindabad” and offered special prayers for the country’s security, stability, and prosperity.
