RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2026) Acting on the special directives of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam, City Traffic Police (CTP) launched operation against the illegal weekly vehicle bazaar operating along Murree Road, particularly in the Rehmanabad area and its surroundings.
During the crackdown, Traffic New Town Circle Incharge Ali Rafiq, accompanied by his team has taken action against vehicles illegally parked for sale on public roads.
As a result, 61 vehicles were issued challan tickets on the spot for violating traffic regulations.
To ensure the successful elimination of the unauthorized bazaar, the City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi have made special arrangements by deploying more than 50 traffic personnel and two vehicle lifters in the area.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Speaking on the occasion, CTO Farhan Aslam stated that legal action was being taken after repeated warnings had been issued to showroom owners regarding the illegal use of public roads for vehicle sales.
He emphasized that the prime objective of the operation is to maintain smooth traffic flow across the city and protect the rights of all road users.
“We are utilizing all available resources to ensure uninterrupted traffic movement and provide a safe and convenient driving environment for citizens,” he added.
The operation is part of the Rawalpindi Traffic Police’s ongoing efforts to address traffic congestion and enforce road safety regulations throughout the city.
