Governor Sindh travels to Sukkur by train, distributes laptops at Shah Abdul Latif University

SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Governor Sindh Muhammad Nihal Hashmi arrived in Sukkur by train from Karachi on Thursday, adopting an austerity policy.

He was received by Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and other high Officials at Sukkur Railway Station.

Governor Sindh visited the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, where he was warmly received on arrival. A ceremony under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme was held at the university’s Allama I.I. Kazi Hall.

He distributed laptops among students under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme.

A large number of teachers and students attended the ceremony.

HEC Chairman Prof Dr Niaz Ahmed, Shah Abdul Latif University Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Yousuf Khushk, and all university professors were also present on the occasion.

Speaking at the event, Governor Nihal Hashmi said he had adopted a simple mode of travel on the instructions of the Prime Minister.

He said that equipping youth with modern education and technology is the government’s priority.
