Governor Kundi terms KP a hub of investment opportunities

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has said the province offers a conducive and attractive environment for investment, development and modern business activities, with vast opportunities in real estate, housing, tourism, special economic zones and infrastructure sectors.

He expressed these views while addressing the inauguration of the 12th edition of Pakistan International Property Expo (PIPEX) 2026 as chief guest here on Saturday. The Governor formally inaugurated the expo and visited various stalls set up at the venue.

The ceremony was attended by President of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Junaid Altaf, representatives of housing societies, builders, business community members and people from different walks of life.

Welcoming domestic and international investors and business personalities, the Governor appreciated the efforts of the organizers, including the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and termed the holding of the event a positive development.

He said that an international-standard property exhibition in Peshawar had presented a positive and dynamic image of Pakistan to the world, adding that such platforms help generate new avenues of trust, partnerships and investment at the global level.

Kundi further said that KP’s rich civilization, business acumen of its people and innovative youth have the potential to transform the province into a center of economic growth.

He stressed that these capabilities could be effectively utilized through provision of proper facilities and institutional support.

He added that with transparency and better planning, the province could play a significant role not only in the national economy but also in the regional economic landscape.
