In local sarafa markets, price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs1,000, reaching Rs523,762
KARACHI: (UrduPonit/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-March 17th, 2026) Gold prices recorded an increase in both international and domestic markets on Tuesday, snapping a four-day stagnant trend.
The market data showed that the price of gold in the international bullion market rose by $10 per ounce, pushing the global rate to $5,010 per ounce.
In the local sarafa markets, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs1,000, reaching Rs523,762. Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs857 to Rs449,041.
Silver prices also moved upward in the domestic market. The price of silver per tola rose by Rs128 to Rs8,569, while the rate for 10 grams of silver increased by Rs110 to Rs7,346.
The market analysts attributed the rise to fluctuations in the global bullion market, influencing domestic pricing trends.
