SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) has successfully performed a free total knee replacement surgery on a 60 year old patient with Grade 4 osteoarthritis, varus deformity, and fixed flexion deformity.
The procedure was carried out at GIMS’s orthopaedic surgery unit with support from the anaesthesia team. According to hospital officials on Monday, the patient was discharged with well aligned, balanced and stable knees, and is expected to regain pain-free mobility.
Dr Sajjad Hussain Bhatti, Orthopaedics and Arthroplasty Surgeon and Trauma Specialist at GIMS, led the surgery.
