GIMS director reviews emergency arrangements for Muharram

SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2026) Founder and Director of Pir Abdul Qadir Shah Jeelani Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Gambat, Capt (Retired) Dr. Rahim Bux Bhatti on Wednesday visited the hospital’s Emergency Ward to review medical facilities and patient care arrangements ahead of Muharram-ul-Haram.

During the inspection, Dr. Bhatti checked emergency equipment, patient beds, and the readiness of on-duty medical staff. He directed the medical teams to ensure prompt treatment and priority care for Azadars and all patients during the holy month.

Emphasizing GIMS’s core mission, Dr. Bhatti reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to providing 24/7 free emergency care to the public, particularly during large religious gatherings. He said additional staff and resources have been deployed in the Emergency Department to handle the expected influx of patients without interruption.

GIMS Gambat, established by Dr. Bhatti, continues to provide free, advanced healthcare services to patients from across Sindh and adjoining areas free of cost.
