FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2026) Administration Officer/Price Control Magistrate Riaz Hussain Anjum sealed two hotels and two milk shops in addition to arresting four persons, and imposed a total fine of Rs. 40,000 on the charge of serious violations of Price Control Act, in Faisalabad.

Conducting surprise visits to Jinnah Colony and Narwala Road, he checked the prices of fruits, vegetables, cooked food items at hotels and milk at retail outlets. He found several vendors charging above the officially notified rates and taking undue advantage of the consumers.

Riaz Anjum warned the shopkeepers and vendors to strictly adhere to the government-approved price list and said that no leniency would be shown to profiteers exploiting the citizens. Price control teams would continue regular inspections to ensure relief for the public and strict enforcement of Price Control Act across the district, he added.
