Four family members shot dead in Islamabad suburbs

ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-April 25th, 2026) Four members of a family, including a woman and a teenage boy, were killed in a firing incident in the outskirts of the Federal capital on Saturday, police said.

The police officials said that the incident took place inside a house located in the Jhangi Syedan area near Sectors I-15 and I-18 of Islamabad.

The residents of the area reported hearing gunshots in the morning and immediately alerted the authorities.

A police team reached the scene and recovered four bodies from the first floor of the house. Officials said two of the victims were found on separate beds while one body was lying on the floor.

All four victims had sustained bullet injuries to the head.
Police identified the deceased as Mula Khalil, his wife Shamim Bibi, their 14-year-old son Musa Khan, and Habib Majid, who is believed to be the brother of Shamim Bibi.

The bodies were shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.

The authorities said the motive behind the killings is still under investigation; however, initial suspicions point towards a possible honour-related incident.

Preliminary findings suggest the family originally belonged to Swat, and Habib Majid had been living in the house as a tenant for the past several years.
