Foolproof security arrangements adopted in district South on Laylat al-Qadr

The District South police have made extraordinary and stringent security measures across the district on the occasion of the holy night "Laylat al-Qadr, the 27th night of Ramazan on the orders of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South Mehzoor Ali

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) The District South police have made extraordinary and stringent security measures across the district on the occasion of the holy night "Laylat al-Qadr, the 27th night of Ramazan on the orders of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South Mehzoor Ali.

In this regard, the police personnel have been put on high alert at all stations within District South, said a spokesperson on Monday.

Additional police forces have been deployed outside mosques, Imam Bargahs, and other places of worship, while patrolling around these religious sites has been significantly intensified.

In anticipation of the Laylat al-Qadr, spot checks and checkpoint operations are being conducted on major thoroughfares, entry and exit routes, and sensitive locations throughout the district.

Police mobile units and motorcycle patrol teams are carrying out continuous patrolling across various neighborhoods.

The District South Police have further strengthened security protocols to ensure the protection of citizens' lives and property as they gather for worship, enabling devotees to perform their religious obligations in a peaceful and secure environment.

SSP District South, Mehzoor Ali has also appealed to citizens to promptly report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or via the official helpline, and to extend their full cooperation to security personnel, thereby helping to maintain peace and public order.
