Food Deptt has 47260.704 metric tons of wheat stock

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Feb, 2026) The food Department has an ample stock of wheat in its godowns across the Faisalabad division, which is sufficient to stabilise the supply of commodity and prices of flour till the new wheat crop.

This was told by the Deputy Director Usman Sakandar Hunjra while talking to the agency here on Thursday.

He said that 47260.

704 metric tons of wheat is available in the total 46 godowns of the department located in the four districts Jhang, Toba Tek singh, Chiniot and Faisalabad.

He said that the stock is sufficient to meet the supply of the flour in the division till the arrival of the new wheat crop. Unfolding the details, he said that 1385 metric tons wheat is stored in 16 godowns in district Faisalabad, 9147.623 metric tons in 7 godowns in district Toba Tek Singh, 29407.354 metric tons in 18 godowns in district Jhang and 7320.727 metric tons in 5 godown in district Chiniot.
