Five stolen vehicles recovered, car lifter arrested

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Mar, 2026) Wah Saddar Police Tuesday arrested a member of an inter-district car lifter gang and recovered five

stolen vehicles worth million rupees.

The action was taken on the special directives of City Police Officer Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani.

According to police spokesman, the gang used to steal vehicles from different areas and transport them

to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for sale. Raids are being conducted to arrest other members of the gang.

The spokesman said that due to effective strategy and security arrangements, Rawalpindi Police had

brought car theft and snatching incidents to minimum.

He added that protection of citizens’ lives and property remained the top priority and all possible measures

were being taken in this regard.
