RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Feb, 2026) City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi has formed five special squads comprising 63 personnel to strictly curb one-wheeling during the holy month of Ramazan, establishing dedicated checkpoints across the city to prevent dangerous stunts and ensure public safety.

According to a CTP spokesman, the special squads will patrol key roads and busy areas, particularly during evening and late-night hours when incidents of one-wheeling are more frequent. The move aims to protect motorists and pedestrians from accidents caused by reckless riding.

More than 900 traffic officers have been deployed under the Ramazan traffic plan, with a special focus on monitoring motorcyclists and taking strict action against violators.

Zero tolerance will be shown towards those involved in one-wheeling or other risky activities.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi, Farhan Aslam, said supervisory officers would remain in the field, especially during iftar hours, to supervise operations and ensure effective enforcement against one-wheelers.

He added that traffic wardens would observe iftar at their duty points so they could continue facilitating citizens and maintaining vigilance on the roads.

The CTO urged parents to keep an eye on their children and appealed to youngsters to avoid one-wheeling and other dangerous stunts. He also called on citizens to cooperate with traffic police and help maintain a safe road environment throughout Ramazan.
