FIFA has announced that the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, to be held at New York New Jersey Stadium on July 19, 2026, will feature the tournament’s first-ever halftime show.

The lineup for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final halftime show, which will take place July 19, has been announced. The 11-minute performance, curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, will be held during the World Cup final outside New York.

The halftime show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to help children around the world gain access to education and soccer. Justin Bieber said the FIFA World Cup brings people together like no other event and added that he is grateful to be part of the halftime show, especially because it is helping expand access to education for children worldwide.

The halftime lineup also includes performances by Madonna, Shakira, and BTS alongside Justin Bieber.

Burna Boy and Shakira will also perform their official FIFA World Cup 2026 song, Dai Dai. Burna Boy said the FIFA World Cup is one of the few events that truly unites the entire world. He added that representing Africa at the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final halftime show is both an honor and a responsibility that he does not take lightly.

Unlike the Super Bowl, which is well known for its halftime entertainment, halftime performances are not common in soccer. Major soccer events, such as the UEFA Champions League final, usually feature concerts before the match rather than during halftime.

This year’s FIFA World Cup Final halftime show will also feature several characters from Sesame Street, including Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.
