FIA submits challan in PTI foreign funding case

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday submitted the challan (charge sheet) in the foreign funding case against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and other accused before a special court in the federal capital

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday submitted the challan (charge sheet) in the foreign funding case against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and other accused before a special court in the federal capital.

According to details, the FIA submitted the challan to Registrar Abdul Wahab of the Special Court (Commercial Banking Circle).

The registrar's office will scrutinize the challan before sending it to the court for hearing.

Once scrutiny is complete, the case will be formally fixed for regular proceedings.

The case Names the PTI founder and several other individuals who face allegations of foreign funding and financial irregularities.

The FIA had been investigating the matter for an extended period before submitting the charge sheet.

Further proceedings are expected to commence once the court takes cognizance of the challan.
