FIA director reviews immigration operations at Lahore airport

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Director Capt. (retd) Muhammad Ali Zia Friday conducted a detailed visit of Allama Iqbal International Airport, reviewing immigration counters, operational arrangements and facilities being provided to passengers.

During the visit, the director inspected the functioning of immigration counters and assessed overall arrangements to ensure smooth processing of travelers.

He directed immigration officials to maintain courteous behaviour with passengers and ensure transparency in all circumstances.

Officials posted at international departure and arrival sections were instructed to adopt a professional approach while performing their duties.

According to the FIA spokesperson, the agency aims to provide the best possible facilities to passengers and further strengthen the immigration system in line with international standards.

The spokesperson added that efforts would be intensified to curb illegal travel, fake visas and human smuggling.
