FG Degree College launches 2026 tree plantation campaign

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Mar, 2026) Federal Government Degree College Kohat Cantt on Wednesday launched its 2026 tree plantation campaign under the theme “Green Pakistan, Safe Future,” aimed to promote environmental protection and sustainable development.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Motasim Billah Shah and Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz Wazir, who formally inaugurated the drive by planting saplings on the college premises.

Principal Dr. Musharraf Khan, Conservator Forest Shahid Noor Khattak, and Kohat Cement Company’s Admin and Security Incharge Ejaz Hussain, along with faculty members, administrative staff and students, actively participated in the plantation activity across the campus.

On the occasion, the speakers highlighted that tree plantation is not merely a symbolic gesture but a vital step towards safeguarding the environment and ensuring a healthy future.

They urged students and the local community to take responsibility for the care and watering of the saplings to help transform Kohat into a greener and healthier city.

The guests also appreciated the college administration for the effective organization of the campaign and commended the role of teachers and staff in motivating students to actively contribute to this national cause.

The event concluded with special prayers for the country’s prosperity, environmental sustainability and the healthy growth of the newly planted saplings.
