Federal ministers meet President Asif Ali Zardari, discuss energy, economic issues

LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2026) President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari on Monday met with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, and Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik at Bhutto House, Naudero .

Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Central President of PPP Women Wing Faryal Talpur, and Sindh Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah were also present during the meeting.

The meeting discussed law and order in the country, the economic situation, the energy sector, and the impact of petroleum product prices.

The Federal Interior Minister briefed the President on ongoing counter-terrorism operations across the country and the border security situation.

Pak-Afghan tensions and regional security challenges were also reviewed in detail.

The Federal Finance Minister and Minister for Petroleum briefed the President on economic indicators, the energy sector, and government measures in the context of rising petroleum product prices.

The President directed that public relief be prioritized in economic policies considering the regional situation, and that the burden of petroleum product prices be minimized to facilitate the common man.
