FBR offices to remain open on Saturday, Sunday to collect taxes, duties

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) All field offices of the Federal board of Revenue (FBR) will function as usual on Saturday and Sunday (June 27-28) for collection of duties and taxes.

According to the FBR local chapter, all offices will function till 8 pm on Monday, June 29. They will remain open till 12 pm on Tuesday, June 30.

The FBR authorities have issued a special working schedule to achieve the revenue target at the end of the financial year.

All LTOs, MTOs, CTOs and RTOs of the FBR will continue the tax collection process till midnight on June 30, 2026.

The FBR has directed that taxpayers will be facilitated in making payments from June 27 to June 30.

According to the issued letter, the offices will work during extra hours to ensure the collection of taxes and duties. The FBR has issued instructions to all Chief Commissioners Inland Revenue to implement special working hours.

The decision to continue tax collection till 12 am on June 30, 2026 is considered an important step towards achieving the fiscal year targets.
