RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) conducted an External Graduate Program Review (GPR) visit to evaluate and enhance the quality of its postgraduate programmes, officials said.

The review was organized by the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) in line with the Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) criteria.

Director QEC Prof Dr. Bushra Yasmin opened the session with a detailed presentation on the objectives of the review and the university’s progress in strengthening quality assurance practices.

The external review panel comprised Dr Salman Hassan Khan and Mehreen Ishtiaq.

According to the details, an internal audit had earlier been conducted on April 13–14 by the Postgraduate Programme Review Committee, followed by compliance visits to academic departments to ensure adherence to standards.

During the visit, the panel held meetings with heads of departments and office incharges, assessing programme strengths and identifying areas for improvement while offering recommendations to enhance academic processes and documentation.

Vice Chancellor FJWU, Prof Dr Bushra Mirza, appreciated the efforts of the QEC team in promoting quality standards and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to implementing the recommendations to further improve academic performance.
