Faisal expresses grief over demise of veteran journalist Altaf Hassan Qureshi

MIRPUR (AJK) , (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 18th May, 2026) The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of senior journalist and founder of urdu Digest, Altaf Hassan Qureshi.

?In his condolence message, issued on Sunday, the PM described Altaf Hassan Qureshi as a visionary journalist, distinguished intellectual and a prolific writer whose invaluable contributions to journalism and literature would long be remembered, reported by APP correspondent.

He said that through his writings Qureshi played a pivotal role in the intellectual grooming of generations and rendered remarkable services in promoting national consciousness and awareness.?

The PM said that the demise of Altaf Hassan Qureshi had created a huge void in the fields of journalism and literature that would be difficult to fill.? He prayed to Allah Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength and patience to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
