ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2026) The export of sports goods from the country witnessed an increase of 14.21 percent during the first seven months of the current fiscal year (2025-26) as compared to the export of corresponding months of last year.
The country exported sports goods worth US$ 249.442 million during July-January (2025-26) as opposed to the export of US$ 218.399 million during July-January (2024-25), showing a growth of 14.21 percent, according to the data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
Among the sports products, the exports of footballs rose by 20.33 percent, surging from US$ 128.891 million last year to US$ 155.096 million during the current year.
The gloves export, however, decreased by 8.64 percent, declining from US$ 38.133 million last year to US$ 34.838 million during the current year, the PBS data revealed.
Likewise, the exports of all other sports goods surged by 15.83 percent to US$ 59.508 million from US$ 51.375 million last year.
Meanwhile, on a year-on-year basis, the sports goods export witnessed an increase of 32.82 percent in January 2026 as opposed to the export same month last year.
The sports goods exports in January 2026 were recorded at US$ 41.639 million against exports of US$ 31.351 million in January 2025.
During the month, the export of footballs and gloves increased by 40.43 and 21.18 percent respectively. In addition all other sports products also rose by 24.79 percent.
Meanwhile, on a month-on-month basis, the exports of sports goods increased of 46.26 percent during January 2026, in contrast to the exports of US$ 28.469 million in December 2025, the PBS data revealed.
