Aleem Khan, Hanif Abbasi discuss inter-ministerial cooperation

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan Wednesday visited the Ministry of Railways and held a detailed meeting with Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi to discuss matters of mutual interest and inter-ministerial cooperation.

Upon his arrival, Hanif Abbasi warmly received Abdul Aleem Khan at the ministry, said a news release.

During the meeting, both ministers exchanged views on enhancing cooperation between the railways and communications sectors, with a focus on improving the country’s transport infrastructure and introducing reforms for better public service delivery.

The two leaders also discussed measures aimed at providing safer, more efficient and convenient travel facilities to the people.

Abdul Aleem appreciated the reforms and initiatives being undertaken in Pakistan Railways, describing them as important steps toward modernization and better governance.

They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional coordination and close liaison between their ministries to accelerate progress in the transport sector.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on the overall political and economic situation of the country, as well as Pakistan’s growing importance and role in the global context.
