EPI training workshop concludes

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jul, 2026) A two-day Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop on the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), organized by the District Health Authority (DHA) Gujrat, concluded at the District Health Development Centre (DHDC).

According to official sources on Monday, the workshop was conducted under the supervision of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) District Health Authority Gujrat, Dr Syed Ata-ul-Munim, to enhance the professional capacity of vaccination staff and strengthen the district's immunization system.

The training was organized in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) Punjab and the Directorate General Health Services, EPI Punjab.

District Health Officer (Preventive Services) Dr Syed Muhammad Aitazaz Ahmed, Deputy District Health Officers, District Superintendent Vaccination, Health Managers of Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics, Health and Nutrition Supervisors and Assistant Vaccinators attended the workshop.

At the concluding session, Dr Syed Ata-ul-Munim distributed certificates among the participants and said that strengthening the capacity of vaccination staff would help improve routine immunization services and protect children against vaccine-preventable diseases in the district.
