Enhanced security measures implemented at Churches in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jun, 2026) On the special directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, Rawalpindi Police have implemented effective security arrangements for churches across the district.

Senior police officers are present in the field to personally supervise the security measures, ensuring strict vigilance at all places of worship.

According to police spokesperson, entry into churches is being allowed only after thorough body searches to maintain a secure environment for worshippers.

City Police Officer CPO Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani stated that all available resources are being utilized to safeguard minority rights and maintain law and order in the city.

He emphasized that individuals attending religious services are being treated with respect and courtesy while ensuring their safety through robust security protocols.

He further reiterated that the protection of minority communities and the maintenance of peace remain a top priority for Rawalpindi Police, with continuous monitoring and enhanced security measures in place across all churches.
