RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) An electoral awareness session was organized at Government Boys High School Ghora Gali in Murree district under the “Youth Pledge Wall” initiative to promote democratic values and raise awareness among students about responsible voting.
The activity was supervised by District Election Commissioner Murree Rizwana Latif.
The session aimed to create awareness among young students about the importance of responsible and informed voting while encouraging them to recognise their constitutional right to vote as responsible citizens.
On the occasion, a special “Youth Pledge Wall” was set up at the school where students wrote and signed pledges expressing their commitment to responsible voting, casting their vote for the first time and promoting informed electoral participation.
Through the pledge, students expressed their resolve to use their vote responsibly in the future and to contribute positively towards strengthening the democratic process in the country.
Volunteers also briefed students about the importance of ethical and informed voting, emphasising that responsible and aware voters play a crucial role in building a strong democratic society.
During the session, students showed keen interest and asked questions about the electoral process, the significance of voting and their civic responsibilities, enhancing their understanding of democratic participation.
Speaking on the occasion, Rizwana Latif appreciated the enthusiasm of the students and said that promoting electoral awareness among the youth was the need of the hour as they would become responsible voters and conscious citizens in the future.
She expressed the resolve to continue such awareness activities in educational institutions across Murree district to further strengthen democratic traditions.
The school administration and students appreciated the initiative and termed such awareness programmes important for encouraging civic responsibility among young people.
