Eid with heroes’ families: IG Islamabad meets children of police martyrs

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi met families of police martyrs on Eid-ul-Adha and distributed Eidi and gifts among their children as part of efforts to share Eid celebrations with them.

An official told APP on Wednesday that the IGP Rizvi visited families of martyrs and expressed solidarity with them on the festive occasion.

Rizvi stated that families of martyrs were part of the Islamabad Police family and the sacrifices rendered by martyrs for peace and protection of citizens would always be remembered with honor and respect.

He said Islamabad Police remained fully committed to the welfare and support of martyrs’ families and would continue taking all possible measures for their well-being.

During the meetings, the IGP also extended Eid greetings to children and family members of martyrs and appreciated their patience, courage and sacrifices.
