Eid gifts distributed among Thalassemia patients at DHQ Hospital

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) Ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr,a ceremony was held at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital where children suffering from Thalassemia were presented with Eid gifts to share in the festive spirit.

The initiative was organized by a non-governmental organization to uplift the morale of young patients.

Medical Superintendent,Dr.Muhammad Naseer attended the event as the chief guest,along with Field Officer Thalassemia Adeel Arshad.

According to the hospital administration,more than 350 children suffering from Thalassemia were currently undergoing treatment at the facility.

During the ceremony,Eid gifts and greeting cards were distributed among 25 children,bringing smiles and a sense of celebration.

Speaking on the occasion,Dr.Naseer highlighted the importance of encouraging children battling Thalassemia,particularly during festive occasions,for their emotional well-being.

The administration added that such initiatives help spread joy and underscore the need for continued care,compassion and support for patients undergoing long-term treatment.
