Drug trafficker held with 2 kg hashish

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Mar, 2026) The district police arrested a suspected drug trafficker and recovered two kilograms of hashish during a routine checking operation here at Mughal Kot Check Post on Wednesday.

The action was carried out under the supervision of District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmed as part of the ongoing crackdown against criminal elements and drug smuggling.

During checking at the Mughal Kot Check Post, the police stopped a vehicle bearing registration number (FOS-686) . Upon search, two kilograms of hashish was recovered from the possession of the suspect, identified as Naqeeb, son of Pir Muhammad, a resident of Tank.

The accused was taken into custody, and a case has been registered. Further investigation is underway.
